Jeff J Findley is a composer based in Los Angeles with an incredibly diverse range of skills that enables him to work in film, television, games, or the concert stage. He began his musical pursuits by studying the guitar as a youngster in the great north woods of Michigan. He has since expanded his palette greatly, and become a very capable multi-instrumentalist with a rare ability to create authentic and inspired original music in nearly any genre.

Jeff approaches composing for film and other media as a dramatist. His focus is on helping the producers of a project tell their story as effectively as possible, by any means necessary. He devours deadlines. He has worked extensively in the world of film and media, recently having collaborated with director David Garrett on the film project “The Wound”, which went on to win best short in the Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival. In 2016 he completed the wide-ranging score for the feature documentary “Be Prepared To Stop”. Jeff’s work has also been heard on television’s “As The World Turns”, in many other short film projects and documentaries, and on Santa Monica’s beautiful and prestigious Broad Stage.

Jeff has studied guitar and keyboard performance extensively, having graduated with honors from Musicians Institute in 1994. He then went on to earn his BM in composition from California State University Northridge. He digs ever deeper into the sculpting of sonic landscapes, combining traditional orchestral timbres, contemporary instrumentation, and otherworldly electronic elements, all for the good of the story.
